Radisson TM Club

Serving as President of Radisson Acca Toastmasters was one of the most rewarding leadership experiences I have had. When I took on the role, my personal goal was to strengthen my leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Throughout my term, I learned the importance of active listening, effective delegation, and creating an environment where members feel valued and empowered to grow.

My main goal as president was to create a dynamic club where members felt motivated, engaged, and excited to participate. I wanted the club to be a fun and welcoming place that members and guests looked forward to attending. I also aimed to increase membership and maintain a strong guest flow. I am proud to say that these goals were largely achieved. Through teamwork, engaging meetings, and the dedication of our members, we experienced membership growth, increased guest attendance, and stronger participation. While there were challenges, such as balancing different expectations and managing responsibilities, these experiences helped me develop resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.

If I were to serve another term, my top leadership dos would be to communicate clearly, lead by example, and encourage teamwork. My top don’ts would be ignoring feedback, making decisions without consultation, and delaying difficult conversations. Overall, this experience helped me grow both personally and professionally.
