Iwanted to experience leadership for myself, to understand what it truly entails and how it would shape me both personally and professionally. Serving as President taught me valuable lessons that I will carry with me beyond Toastmasters.

One of the biggest lessons I learned is that patience is essential in leadership. I also realized the importance of having a clear vision for the Club because vision creates direction, purpose, and motivation for members.

Leading the Club taught me how to work with different personalities and perspectives. I learned that leadership is not about controlling people, but about understanding them, listening to them, and creating an environment where they feel valued and included.

As President, my goal was for members to genuinely experience the value of the Club and develop a sense of belonging without feeling pressured. Through the Moment of Truth session we organized, we learned that members appreciated the efforts and commitment of the Executive Committee toward the growth of the Club.

Our biggest challenge was low attendance due to sessions taking place during working hours, as professional responsibilities naturally take priority. Another challenge was encouraging members to advance in their pathways consistently.

This experience taught me to be proactive, authentic, firm yet open-minded, and to lead by example.
